Medical transport description

MEDICAL TRANSPORT is performed by 2 paramedics or one paramedic and a nurse in a type B ambulance – VW Transporter or type C one – Peugeot Boxer.

The patient is transported in the lying position (using a stretcher) or in the sitting one (in a stair chair or if need be in a wheelchair). An ambulance for medical transport is fitted with specialist equipment for saving life and the monitoring of patient’s condition.

Medical transport price list

The cost of medical transport, depending on the length of route and the patient’s condition, starts with PLN 4.50 per kilometer.

An additional nurse in the team – the cost of PLN 60 for an hour of work.

An additional doctor in the team (an ambulance marked with S) – the cost of PLN 150 for an hour of work.

The transfer of the patient from and to an ambulance and the waiting time of a team are free of charge up to 15 minutes. Each next 30 minutes or part thereof (e.g. protracting hospital discharges, logistical issues) constitute an additional cost in the amount of PLN 50.
